Nyan Nyan Wave (ニャンニャン波, Nyan nyan ha) is a Nature ÄRM that fires a powerful energy blast.
History[]
In the sixth round of the War Games, Chaton laughs at Alan for forgetting to even bring the new ÄRM he acquired in Caldia and decides to bring an end to their match, summoning her Guardian ÄRM, Bururu. Alan recollects himself at the sight of the giant bulldog guardian and smirks, saying that if it's a dog (as opposed to a cat) then he'll just take it out in one hit. Alan delivers a single punch to the guardian and destroys it. As the dust settles, his confident face turns to bamboozlement when he sees Chaton readying her final attack, who explains that Bururu was simply a distraction. Gathering enough energy in her hands, she releases her Nyan Nyan Wave and the impact sends Alan flying. As he lies defeated, Alan mumbles that he really hates cats.
Following the end of the War Games, Chaton tags along with Alan, Jack, and Nanashi in following Porin back to her village. While walking along cliff, they cross paths with a rockslide from above, and Chaton uses her Nyan Nyan Wave to obliterate the boulders.
Later, when she and Loco sneak into the dungeons of Pultgayin Castle to save Alan and Nanashi, she uses Nyan Nyan Wave to one-shot Sarah Band and render her unconscious.
Finally, she uses the Nyan Nyan Wave to stop Chess Piece stragglers such as Garia to interrogate them on the identity of the masked man who killed Alan.
Trivia[]
- Nyan Nyan Wave is nearly identical to Dragon Ball's most iconic fighting move, the Kamehameha. Both moves are formed when cupped hands are drawn to the user's side and ki is concentrated into a single point (between their cupped hands). The hands are then thrust forward to shoot out a streaming, powerful beam of energy.
- Official sources list Nyan Nyan Wave as a Nature ÄRM, but due to an accessory never being shown to activate for Chaton to use this ability leaves much speculation on whether it's the power of an ÄRM or Chaton herself.
