Gerda (ゲルダ, Geruda) is a taciturn girl in MÄR Omega.
Appearance[]
Gerda has short curly brunette hair and pine green eyes.
Personality[]
Gerda has a weak self-assertion and complicit personality, but is selfless and kind.
Etymology and Origin[]
Gerda is based on the main heroine of the fairy tale, The Snow Queen.
History[]
Gerda's village disappears.
Gerda lived a simple life in her small village as a shepherd. She often herded sheep to graze in field surrounding her favorite lone tree just outside the village.
One day, while guiding the flock back, she heard an unusual loud noise in the direction of the village. She ran ahead to see what caused it, only to find the village was completely gone as if it never existed. Her childhood acquaintance Mollusk approaches from behind. He proudly states that a man named Atmos gave him a fake Dimension ÄRM that would seal away the village, and promised to also give him a fake Guardian ÄRM if he did so successfully. Gerda dropped to her knees in horror as Mollusk nonchalantly tells her to come back with him to see Atmos.
Sorrowfully, she meets with Atmos who then gives her a fake Guardian ÄRM as well. He promises that if she uses her fake ÄRM and follows orders from him, her village would be saved. She then pairs up with Mollusk as underlings of Atmos.
MÄR Ω[]
After Atmos converses with Unwetter, he calls upon Mollusk and Gerda to the main hall. He orders them to pursue Babbo and capture him. Mollusk makes a sassy remark that causes Atmos to grab him at the forehead and squeeze pressure on his skull and left eye, warning him to watch his tongue. He then grants them permission to kill anyone who's with Babbo.
The pair teleport to Luberia and come across a small legion of subjugators that are hunting for the Luberian chieftain, Nanashi. Mollusk gets an idea to use them and gives them some fake ÄRMs. The fake ÄRMs possess them and they watch as they attack Nanashi and the trio of kids that travel with Babbo. The doors to the cave that they entered begin to close, and Nanashi stays outside to fend off the possessed soldiers. Gerda and Mollusk swiftly jump down from their post and dash pass Nanashi, into the cave barely in time as the doors sealed shut.
Gerda and Mollusk immediately summon their fake Guardians. Mollusk demands that they hand over Babbo, but Kai just charges at them out of anger for using the men outside. Mollusk's fake Guardian, Salamander, whacks Kai backwards with its tongue. Inga leaps in to attack with his Weapon ÄRM, Hades Scythe, but Salamander quickly regenerates from the damage. Mollusk mocks them for trying to win against fake ÄRMs with real ÄRMs, and calls Gerda for more power. Inga determines that Gerda was the more dangerous of the duo, acting more as a follow-up than a back-up. Elisa joins in to help Inga using the power of ice with her Nature ÄRM, Fiore, to take on Gerda.
Kai and Babbo grab the magic stone and put it into Babbo's hammer just as Mollusk's Salamander overpowers Elisa's ice. Babbo transforms into a Guardian called Needlework, and immediately charges at Salamander, impaling it through the mouth with tremendous power. Mollusk panics and tells Gerda to kill the ÄRM user. She silently wills her Guardian, Flauros, to attack Kai but Elisa and Inga intervene. Mollusk keeps pushing Salamander and asks for more power from Gerda, but she suddenly refuses, telling Mollusk that he cannot beat Kai. Shocked, Mollusk tries to guilt-trip her by stating he had been taking care of her since their village disappeared, but she called him out for having traded it for fake ÄRMs. Mollusk tries to defend his actions by saying he was enamored with her and wanted it to be just the two of them, but Gerda rejects his lies and teleports away.
Paradis[]
Touched by Kai's straightforwardness and conviction, she protects him from Atmos' attacks, and temporarily disappears. She later found out that she had been helped by Atmos, but the aftermath of the battle broke her heart. She regained her kind smile in the final chapter, as her heart returned while watching Kai and Babbo fight together. After the battle, she kisses Kai, and the two become lovers.
