- "It seems that I was brought here as soon as I was born... In other words, from birth I was obliged to take care of this cemetery... This blue and white world wanted me to stare at death, and in response, I continued to stare at death day after day... ...Maybe I'll become a 'living corpse' too, right?"
- ―Fault to Alviss
Fault (フォルト, Foruto) is a character in MÄR Heaven: Devil of Caldea. He is the caretaker of Magritte Cemetery.
Appearance[]
Fault is a pale-skinned boy with blue eyes, blue hair, and black tattoo markings on his hands. He wears a light blue shirt with cuffs at the wrists of his sleeves, and cream pants which are held up with a belt. He also wears a long cream zip-up vest to match his pants.
Personality[]
Fault is calm boy that has very few emotions that he experiences. As a result, he sometimes speaks with insensitivity towards others' feelings, but otherwise means no harm by his words.
History[]
MÄR Heaven: Devil of Caldea[]
AKT.7 Margritte Cemetery[]
Upon arrival, Team MÄR is greeted by a boy named Fault, who states that he's been expecting them. Fault takes interest in Alviss as someone whom he can relate to due to the latter's Zombie Tattoo. He makes casual small talk with him and Belle as they follow him to the chapel, but Alviss inevitably voices his suspicion of Fault. His true intent exposed, Fault quickly ditches them in the cemetery.
MÄR is forced to navigate the maze-like graveyard on their own to the chapel entrance, where Fault expresses his envy for Alviss for having emotions that he's never experience. Alviss angrily calls him out on his inferiority complex and engages in battle, defeating him. Fault warps away, and Team MÄR enters the chapel.
AKT. 9 Caldea Palace[]
Epilogue[]
Before leaving Caldea, Alviss and Belle travel once more to Magritte Cemetery as per Iffy's suggestion to meet with Fault one last time. Upon arrival, Fault is in the chapel playing the organ. Before leaving, Alviss gives Fault some advice on his outlook on his existence and what it means to live.
ÄRMs[]
Fault is a master wind-manipulator:
- Andata: Dimension ÄRM, teleports Fault to any place that he has already been to, stored in its memory.
- Air Hammer: A Dimension ÄRM set of rings and bangles. Despite its classification, it is frequently used as a weapon against foes.
- Balloon Bomb: A balloon that explodes after eight seconds if it hasn't already exploded upon contact with a foe.
- Dangerous Storm: Similar to Balloon Bomb, it materializes multiple explosive balloons that track and chase after foes.
- Vindälv: A Nature ÄRM that allows the user to manipulate and control the wind to attack their enemies.
- Wind Area: A Nature ÄRM that changes the attribute of the battlefield to wind.
- Soul Flute: A Nature ÄRM, a flute that saps the magical power of the user's opponent when he or she hears the music played on it.
- Flying Leo: A Guardian ÄRM that summons a flying lion.
- Wormhole: An old Guardian ÄRM that connects two or more locations via teleportation platforms.
In-Game Stats[]
VS. Fault[]
Fault serves as the Boss of Magritte Cemetery. The field attribute, his ÄRMs, and Fault himself, all have wind attributes, so ÄRMs with high damage will be activated one after another. Therefore, use All Leaf Change to change the attribute of your allies to wood. By becoming a wood attribute, you can halve the damage of wind attribute ÄRMs. Furthermore, be sure to include ÄRMs that recover HP in the deck to prepare for major damage.

VS. Shadow Fault[]
While Fault himself doesn't appear again until the epilogue, there is a "shadow" version of him that serves as the fourth boss of the endgame, waiting in a distortion of Caldea Palace that is based on Claydon Forest. In order to exploit his attribute weakness, it is basic to attack with wood attribute ÄRM. Also, incorporate All Leaf Change to prepare for the enemy's wind attribute ÄRMs. The field attribute is water at the start of the battle, but during the battle there is a possibility that Shadow Fault will use the Wind Area and change to the wind attribute. In anticipation of that, it would be a good idea to increase the number of wind attribute ÄRMs in this deck as well.
