Toponymy and Origin[]

In the game of chess, a blunder is a very bad move, an oversight (indicated by "??" in chess annotation).

History[]

Blunder Village is a notorious settlement of desert-dwelling bandits and pillagers. It is widely known that many of the ÄRMs sold from shops in the village are stolen goods, but it doesn't deter customers from doing business there.

MÄR Heaven: Oblivion of Clavier[]

Nanashi makes his way to Blunder Village to gather information on rumors of an elixir of life, thinking it might counteract against the effects of the Ghost ÄRM that is making time speed up for Alviss. He speaks with a merchant woman that seemingly has some information to tell, but only on the condition that Nanashi goes to the Tomb of Lamentations and slays a dragon there that's preventing her from acquiring materials she needs.

Alan and Edward arrive in the village soon after, and eavesdrop on the same merchant woman talking to two bandits about Nanashi in which they plot to steal his Nature ÄRM, Electric Eye. They race to rescue Nanashi before the bandits get there.

When the three of them return to the village, they find the merchant woman being harassed by a man and boy with tattoos, demanding an Aqua Carpet. Alan and Nanashi quickly learn that the duo are Chess Pieces, but strangely are lacking pierces that would indicate their class. They introduce themselves as General and Pause, and all four clash battle each other. Ultimately, General and Pause decide to withdraw. Alan and Nanashi then confront the merchant woman, and she gives to Nanashi the Aqua Carpet.
