Blitz Lake (ブリッツ湖, Burittsu Mizūmi) is a large body of water appearing in MÄR Heaven: Oblivion of Clavier.

Toponymy and Origin[]

Blitz is German for "lightning".

Blitz Chess is a fast form of chess with a very short time limit, usually three or five minutes per player for the entire game. With the advent of electronic chess clocks, the time remaining is often incremented by one or two seconds per move.

History[]

Blitz Lake is one of three major lakes in Reginleif, being the northernmost in latitude. It lies next to a trade route that merchants often travel on.

MÄR Heaven: Oblivion of Clavier[]

To gain passage through Fort Zwicken to the south, border guards send Team MÄR back north to Blitz Lake to rid the area of a dragon that's been a hindrance to travelers passing by.

They enter the lakeside cave, finding a man-made structure near the end of the passage with the dragon flying down in front of them. MÄR engages in battle with it to settle it down. Snow observes it to be looking rather sad, and upon closer inspection, recognizes that it's a "girl of the sea" that's been stranded on a fresh water lake surrounded by land. Dorothy also approaches, referring to it as "cute", though the guivre whacks Dorothy back against the cave wall with its tail, preferring Snow's affection. Nanashi happily uses his Dimension ÄRM, Andata, to teleport the guivre back to the ocean.
